Rain, Rain, Rain...

We went to Nyssa on Saturday to shoot guns, ride 4-wheelers, and ride horses...too bad it was raining! We still had fun though!

The girls are ready to ride!

We all camped out under the shed until we were brave enough to go out in the rain.

He's trying to hit a pumpkin that's 481 yards away.

I would like to say I hit every target...

These pumpkins have been through a lot. First they were used as bowling pins for pumpkin bowling. Now they targets.

They didn't survive to have another adventure!

Correction...

I was told that my story with Thomas did not start in January this year. It started last July when I went to a church boating activity and met Kady. We bonded over our love of Utah State University and became friends. On New Year's Eve Kady invited me to go to a party with her. She also invited Emilie (who eventually introduced me to Thomas). So...according to Kady, if it weren't for her, I would have never met Thomas. That is a very sad thing to think about. Thank you Kady!

She even celebrates most Hotchalugan Days with me!

Voldemort...

Last weekend I went to my parents' house. While I was there this conversation happened.

Me: We call him Voldemort now.
Mom: Oh, is that Russian?
Aunt: No, it's from Twilight.

Later that night....
My cousin told her husband the story and he said, "Not everyone has seen Lord of the Rings."

A few days later...
My aunt told my uncle the story and he asked, "So, who's Voldemort anyway?"

Apparently no one in my family over the age of 26 knows anything about Harry Potter.

Beating the Friend Zone...

Once upon a time I had a friend named Thomas who I was never going to date because he was Thomas and we were friends. We met in January when he walked into my house for a party. I had no idea who he was and didn't really try to get to know him because I was being grumpy. Then he started to show up at more things that I was also at. I thought that he was dating my friend, Emilie, which he definitely wasn't. The first time I ever really talked to him I was venting to Emilie as we drove to a party. He was in the back seat and I needed to vent so bad that I didn't even care that a boy I didn't really know was actively listening and contributing to my conversation.

On March 9 I went to a birthday party and he was there. It was Hotchalugan Day, so all 8 of us crammed into Adam's car and went to Wendy's to get a Frosty. So fun!
The beginning of something AMAZING! Hotchalugan Day March 9!

After that a group of friends formed and we did tons of stuff together. Thomas became one of my best friends. When he wasn't at an activity that everyone was doing I missed him.

This was after our great adventure to Thomas' cabin. We were so tired but we felt lame going home before midnight even though we were ridiculously tired.

Thomas said we should get married, so I said, "YES!" Too bad we weren't being serious that time.
At the beginning of July everyone started telling me that he liked me because we flirted a lot, but nothing more than friends. All my friends told me that he liked me, but I didn't really believe them. Then our friend, Krista, told him that it would make her extremely happy if he kissed me, so he tried. I half wanted to, but I was kinda dating someone else, so I thought that maybe I shouldn't. I told him, "No," but I kept inviting him back to my house though and he kept trying, so on the third time I just kissed him. He told me that my no did not mean no, it meant maybe. So when people say "No means no" it is false! Sometimes "no" means "maybe."

After that day I've spent everyday except for about a week with Thomas. We started going on super awesome dates and just spent a lot of time together. Best 3 months of my life!

50 years from now, I hope to look like this!

Hotchalugan Day!

After our 4-wheeler ride that I thought I was going to die on!
A few weeks ago his sister said that we should get married in July because that's when she would be in the United States again. He came downstairs and he said, "We aren't getting married in July." Were we getting married at all? I felt that we would, but I never said anything out loud because we had only been dating for 6 weeks! Oh wow! I was not going to be "that" girl. I didn't know if he meant that July was way too soon or not soon enough. Later he said, "We definitely aren't waiting that long." Over the next couple of days we decided that we were definitely getting married. It totally blew my mind!

It's for real this time!!!!!!!! We always said that if we got engaged we would take a real picture at Red Robin!

We are getting married on March 9, 2013 at 10:15!

That my friends, is the very short version of how we beat the friend zone!
