Last week was ridiculously busy! We started it off by going to my parents' house for Christmas Eve. My sisters, Thomas, and I went to Wal-Mart for our annual Christmas shopping adventure to get each other presents. It was much better this year with Thomas there. We were able to divide and conquer rather than me try and keep track of my sisters among all the people. It was a super successful trip!
The rest of the day was spent making cinnamon rolls and getting ready for Christmas.
That night we opened our pj's and read the Christmas story and another Christmas book. Christmas Eve to Christmas morning is my favorite 14 hours of the entire year! Thomas opened his presents that night as well because he had to work on Christmas morning. Lame!
On Christmas morning my sisters woke me up at 5:50 to open presents. I told them to wait 10 more minutes and they actually listened to me. It was super fun seeing them open their presents. After that we had to hurry and pack to go to Utah! We picked Thomas up in Boise on the way and away we went.
This year's trip was very different than past years. I found out that Brenna has fantastic music. She only wanted 6 songs put on her new Ipod but every single one of them was a dance song. We rocked out to "Hey Mickey" and she sang every word. YES! I found out my dad likes music! Who would have known? My mom and he were rocking out to old music on my zune. My dad requested a lot of music that I didn't have. I'm pretty sure the only reason why we stopped in Nephi that night instead of going all the way to St. George was so that I could load more music on my zune.
That night in the hotel was so fun. My parents continued to request more music and I tried to convince Savanna of the amazingness of NSYNC. I showed her this video.
She didn't really understand what the big deal was. She said that One Direction was much better. FALSE!
While we were in Utah we went to a trampoline place, snow tubing, played volleyball and basketball, and made sock puppets for my grandparents to take to Nauvoo with them next summer to give to visitors. Thomas and I made a pirate puppet family.
When we got home Thomas said that he had fun and that we should do it again. YES! I said that we would in two years! I'm already excited. Being with family is one of my favorite things. I'm super blessed to have the family that I have and to have grown up around such amazing people!
